Immediately after the Iraqi war of liberation, a group of Iraqi engineers and businesspeople that lived and studied in the United States returned to Iraq to participate in reconstruction efforts. They knew it would take the winning combination of deep technical expertise and results-oriented work to earn the trust of some of the biggest commercial organizations and DOD contractors in Iraq.

The expatriates engaged some of the best local engineers to form a professional Iraqi company, capable of delivering international standard services for the reconstruction and investment in Iraq.

SGI provides overall program management, direction, and coordinates technical direction for providing the Joint Contracting Office in Iraq with Combustion Inspection services of Siemens Turbine Engines at Kirkuk in Iraq. SGI provides engineering and construction services to the reconstruction and construction industry, Coalition Forces, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Iraq.
